Bialetti's First Induction-Ready Moka Pot

The Bialetti Venus was Bialetti's first stainless steel stovetop coffee maker designed to work on induction hobs, as well as gas and electric. Its circular stainless steel base forms the connection induction hobs need, while still delivering the same genuine Moka brewing experience Bialetti is known for.

Built to Last

The Venus is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a boiler wall thickness increased by 20% over standard models, giving it real robustness and durability. It carries Bialetti's patented, easy-to-clean safety valve, and there's no difference in taste between a Venus and a traditional aluminium Moka — it's all in the induction-ready design.

Dimensions

Country of origin: China. Material: stainless steel, silicone and plastic. Widths quoted are for the base without handle.

4 Cup: 17cm (H) x 9.5cm (W), 0.63kg, approx. 170-180ml serving.
6 Cup: 20cm (H) x 10.5cm (W), 0.76kg, approx. 235-270ml serving.
10 Cup: 23cm (H) x 13cm (W), 1.1kg, approx. 460-480ml serving.

Cup sizing is based on traditional Italian espresso servings of roughly 45-50ml each, not standard UK mugs.

How To Use

Unscrew the base and fill it with room-temperature water up to the safety valve. Place the filter funnel onto the base and fill with a mound of Moka ground coffee, without tamping it down. Screw the pot back onto the base and place on the hob. Turn on the heat and wait for the coffee to brew, which takes a few minutes depending on size.

Care Instructions

Rinse through with cold water after every use — Bialetti doesn't recommend using any chemicals, soaps or detergents. Never put it in the dishwasher. Dry all parts thoroughly before storing, and move the knob at the centre of the safety valve weekly to prevent limescale build-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Venus suitable for induction hobs?
Yes — its stainless steel construction with a circular base makes it suitable for induction, gas and electric hobs alike.

What grind should I use?
A Moka-specific fine grind, slightly coarser than espresso grind.

Can I buy replacement parts?
Yes — gasket, filter and funnel are all available separately. We recommend replacing the gasket and filter roughly every 12 months.

How much water should I use?
Fill to just below the safety valve or to the max fill line where fitted, and always brew the full amount for your pot's size.

Which size should I choose?
4 cup suits solo brewing, 6 cup suits couples or small households, and 10 cup suits entertaining or larger households.

Modern Materials, Traditional Taste
