Two Italian Icons, One Induction-Ready Brewer

The Bialetti X Dolce&Gabbana Blu Mediterraneo Moka Induction blends Bialetti's stovetop brewing expertise with Dolce&Gabbana's Blu Mediterraneo design, inspired by the colours and culture of the Italian coast — reimagined for induction hobs.

Bi-Layer Boiler Technology

This isn't just a painted induction version of the classic Moka — it uses genuine bi-layer boiler construction: an outer steel layer for induction compatibility, and an inner aluminium layer for the even heat distribution that gives proper Moka extraction. Handcrafted design application means pattern placement varies slightly piece to piece, so no two are quite the same.

Dimensions

Country of origin: Italy. Material: stainless steel, aluminium, silicone and thermoplastic. Widths quoted are for the base without handle.

4 Cup: 9.7cm (W) x 17cm (H), 0.6kg, approx. 150ml serving.
6 Cup: 10.2cm (W) x 17.5cm (H), 0.7kg, approx. 225ml serving.

How To Use

Fill the boiler with water to the safety valve line, add a medium-fine Moka-ground coffee to the funnel without pressing it down, and brew on a low heat until the coffee has fully risen.

Care Instructions

Allow the pot to cool completely after use, then unscrew and remove the filter plate and funnel. Wash all parts by hand with warm water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a soft cloth before reassembling. Never put it in the dishwasher, as this can damage both the aluminium and the printed design. Move the knob at the centre of the safety valve weekly to prevent limescale build-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it be used on all hob types?
Yes — it's specifically designed for induction hobs, and also works on gas and electric stovetops.

Is it aluminium like the classic Moka Express?
Yes, the main body is aluminium for efficient heat distribution, but the base incorporates a steel plate to make it induction-compatible — tradition and innovation combined.

Is it made in Italy?
Yes — proudly made in Italy, the birthplace of Bialetti and espresso culture.

What grind should I use?
A medium-fine grind, slightly coarser than espresso but finer than drip coffee — similar to fine sand. A Moka-specific ground coffee gives the best results.

Is the design just on the exterior?
Yes — the Blu Mediterraneo pattern is applied to the exterior only, so it's as much a piece of Italian design as a functioning coffee maker.

Induction-Ready, Without Compromise

For anyone who's switched to an induction hob but doesn't want to give up genuine stovetop Moka coffee, this collaboration delivers both authentic brewing and Dolce&Gabbana's artistry in one piece.
