Sicilian Artistry Meets Moka Tradition
The Bialetti Moka Express is a symbol of Italian coffee culture, with a near 100-year heritage and a presence in over 90% of Italian homes. The Bialetti X Dolce&Gabbana Sicilian Cart Moka Express brings a vibrant artistic twist to that classic design, drawing inspiration from the "carretto siciliano" — the traditional Sicilian horse-drawn cart, a key element of Dolce&Gabbana's aesthetic.
Handcrafted, One of a Kind
The intricate decorative motifs are hand-applied, so pattern placement varies slightly from piece to piece — you own something genuinely unique, not a mass-produced print.
The Same Trusted Brewing Method
Crafted from durable aluminium, the Moka Express uses its patented design and safety valve to brew rich, authentic espresso on the stovetop. Its octagonal shape ensures even heat distribution, enhancing the aroma and flavour of every cup.
Dimensions
Country of origin: Italy. Material: aluminium, stainless steel (filter), silicone and plastic.
3 Cup: 16cm (H) x 9cm (W), 0.39kg, 130ml serving.
6 Cup: 21.5cm (H) x 10.5cm (W), 0.65kg, approx. 250ml serving.
How To Use
Fill the lower chamber with water to just below the safety valve or to the max fill line where fitted. Fill the funnel with ground coffee without tamping it down, screw the top and bottom together, and place on a gas or electric hob. Always brew a full pot for your chosen size.
Care Instructions
Clean with warm water and a 3:1 water-to-vinegar solution rather than detergent, then rinse thoroughly with plain water and dry all parts completely before storing. Never put it in the dishwasher. Don't let the flame extend beyond the sides of the pot when heating, and let the base cool before cleaning. Move the knob at the centre of the safety valve weekly to prevent limescale build-up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same brewing method as the standard Moka Express?
Yes — identical stovetop brewing, safety valve and aluminium construction; only the exterior artwork differs.
Is it induction compatible?
No — this aluminium model suits gas, electric and ceramic hobs. Use a Bialetti induction adapter plate for induction hobs.
Is it made in Italy?
Yes — made in Coccaglio, near Bergamo, the same factory as the standard Moka Express.
Can I buy replacement parts?
Yes — gaskets, filters and handles are the same as the standard model and available separately.
What makes each piece unique?
The Sicilian Cart motifs are hand-applied, so pattern placement varies slightly from piece to piece — a feature of its handcrafted nature.
