Ticking Stripe Wallpaper – Classic Comfort with a Homely, Textured Finish
Bring warmth and familiarity to your walls with this Ticking Stripe Wallpaper, inspired by traditional mattress and pillow fabrics. Evenly spaced, slim vertical stripes alternate between fine bands and broader areas of background, creating a look that feels both classic and comforting. The design instantly introduces gentle structure and height, helping rooms feel taller and more inviting without overpowering the space.
What sets this ticking stripe apart is its delicate, textural finish. Each stripe is rendered with a subtle crosshatch or woven effect, echoing the character of homespun cloth. The result is a pattern that feels soft and lived-in, adding depth and charm while maintaining a clean, orderly look.

How to calculate number of rolls needed
How to calculate number of rolls needed
- Measure Walls: Measure the total width and height of each wall you'll wallpaper.
- Calculate Drops per Wall: Divide the wall's width by the wallpaper's width (e.g., 0.75m). Round up to the next whole number for your "drops".
- Account for Pattern (Crucial!): Check the pattern repeat. Add the repeat length to your drop height for each drop, as you'll lose material matching.
- Calculate Total Length Needed: Multiply the number of drops (including pattern repeat adjustments) by the height of the wall to get the total length required for that wall.
- Calculate Rolls per Wall: Divide the total length needed by the length of one roll (e.g., 7m). Round up to the next whole number.
- Sum for Room: Repeat for all walls and add up the rolls needed, adding 10-20% extra for waste, errors, or future repairs, especially with large patterns.
