Vintage Damask Wallpaper – Softly Aged Elegance with Timeless Character

Give your walls a sense of history and quiet luxury with this Vintage Damask Wallpaper. Large, sweeping damask motifs repeat in a graceful vertical arrangement, instantly adding depth and sophistication to any room. The design is intentionally softened with a gently distressed finish, creating the impression of a surface that has aged beautifully over time – like worn plaster or well-loved linen.

This washed, textural effect keeps the pattern from feeling heavy or overly formal. Instead, it works as an elegant backdrop, introducing interest and character while allowing furniture, artwork and lighting to shine. It's an ideal choice if you want to evoke antique refinement without sacrificing a modern, understated sensibility.

Main Features

  • Classic damask motif – Large, traditional scroll and floral elements arranged in a structured vertical pattern
  • Beautifully aged effect – Subtle distressing gives a softly faded, timeworn look that suggests aged plaster or fabric
  • Elegant, textured backdrop – Adds depth and visual richness without dominating the room.
  • Timeless, versatile style – Bridges traditional and contemporary schemes, working well in both period and modern homes
  • Perfect for refined spaces – Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas where you want a sense of quiet luxury
  • Soft, washed finish – Offers the charm of a heritage pattern with a more relaxed, current feel.

How to calculate number of rolls needed

  1. Measure Walls: Measure the total width and height of each wall you'll wallpaper.
  2. Calculate Drops per Wall: Divide the wall's width by the wallpaper's width (e.g., 0.75m). Round up to the next whole number for your "drops".
  3. Account for Pattern (Crucial!): Check the pattern repeat. Add the repeat length to your drop height for each drop, as you'll lose material matching.
  4. Calculate Total Length Needed: Multiply the number of drops (including pattern repeat adjustments) by the height of the wall to get the total length required for that wall.
  5. Calculate Rolls per Wall: Divide the total length needed by the length of one roll (e.g., 7m). Round up to the next whole number.
  6. Sum for Room: Repeat for all walls and add up the rolls needed, adding 10-20% extra for waste, errors, or future repairs, especially with large patterns.
